To commemorate the 55th National Anniversary of the United Arab Emirates, Nectere, in collaboration with the Dubai Watch Union, presents a timepiece that reflects a shared appreciation for heritage, craftsmanship, and architectural ambition: The Union 55.
This release stands as a joint expression between two creative houses united by a common respect for the UAE’s remarkable journey. Just as the nation transformed its refined desert landscape into a global symbol of vision, innovation, and structural harmony, this timepiece captures that same spirit of duality and progression.
The dial carries a warm desert-sand tone, evoking the UAE’s landscape and heritage. Its finely textured surface is complemented by a sculpted central motif and carefully balanced detailing. The Hindi/Arabic numeral ٥٥ takes its place prominently at the 11 o’clock position, creating a distinctive signature for the 55th National Day.
The caseback features a finely engraved outline of the UAE map, symbolising the nation. Set alongside the exhibition window revealing the mechanical movement, the map engraving creates a distinctive national signature while maintaining the watch’s refined horological character.
Strictly limited to 55 individually numbered pieces, the Union 55 is a rare celebration of shared vision, mechanical artistry, and the enduring character of the sands.
